As Travel Costs Rise, Liberta Voyages Takes the Opposite Direction and Reduces Omra Prices Tunis, September 2026 — As part of its commitment to supporting demand for Omra and making access to the Holy Places easier for as many Tunisians as possible, Liberta Voyages & Tourism has announced a downward revision of the prices of several Omra programs, despite rising costs across several components of the travel experience. At a time when the market is experiencing higher costs for transportation, accommodation and related services, Liberta Voyages has chosen to move in the opposite direction by absorbing part of these increases, reviewing its cost structure and working closely with its partners to achieve more competitive pricing. Mr. Wissam Ben Amer, owner of Liberta Voyages & Tourism, explained that the decision reflects the company’s commitment to ensuring that travelers do not bear the full impact of rising costs. “At a time when costs are increasing, we decided at Liberta to move in the opposite direction. We chose to reduce our prices by giving up part of our profit margin, while working to increase our sales volumes, as well as reviewing the programming of certain departures and reducing the number of nights in selected packages.” He added: “We believe that rising costs should not always result in higher prices. A company can absorb part of these increases while working to optimize costs with its strategic partners — from Saudia to hotels and ground service providers — while improving efficiency and increasing sales volumes. Ultimately, we want Liberta travelers to benefit directly from these efforts.” Mr. Wissam Ben Amer also emphasized that the price reductions will not come at the expense of service quality or the core Omra experience. The company will continue to improve its programs, diversify its offers and leverage its negotiating strength, partner network and digital solutions to achieve the best possible balance between price, quality and value. Lower Margins… Higher Volume The strategy is based on a clear and simple equation: Lower profit margins + higher sales volume + optimized partner costs + more efficient programs = more competitive Omra prices The review also includes reassessing certain programs and stay durations, allowing Liberta to offer a wider range of options suited to the different needs and budgets of its travelers, while maintaining the level of service and value delivered. For Liberta Voyages, this initiative is aligned with its philosophy of making Omra accessible to a greater number of Tunisians, particularly in a context of rising transportation and accommodation costs for high-end hotels located close to the Two Holy Mosques — services that Liberta remains committed to providing to its travelers. In this context, Mr. Wissam Ben Amer reaffirmed the company’s commitment to finding practical solutions that enable it to offer better prices without compromising the quality of the experience. “Liberta does not want to be part of the wave of rising prices; we want to be part of the solution. Whenever costs increase, we will continue to look for opportunities to reduce prices without compromising the value of the experience we provide to our travelers.” LIBERTA VOYAGES & TOURISM Towards a closer Omra… and greater value.
